I'm Dominic, a young artist currently based in Winchester Kentucky.  I've created art from my earliest childhood.  I've always loved the outdoors, especially anything to do with water and sailboats. I'm never happier than when I'm on a sailboat slicing through the water, or relaxing on a beach, caressed by the sun, soothed by the rhythmic thunder of surf.  Though I do love plenty of other subjects, like portraiture, figurative, still life ect, my deepest passion has always been to create paintings that express my love of water and sailing. I want the viewer to look at my painting and feel like they are being transport to that scene. I want them to feel the warm breeze filling the sails and hear the crashing waves.  I'm hugely inspired by the Spanish painter Joaquin Sorolla. His skill at capturing the outdoors, especially his local Valencian beaches is like nothing I've ever seen. Sorrolla is also know as "The  Master of Light" which is another aspect of painting I love. I'm fascinated with light and the challenges of creating the effect of light in a painting. 

I'm currently studying art at Stabat Mater Atelier in Tyler Texas.
